2018 Dodge Avenger

After two few years of brake, company could bring back this familiar nameplate, as 2018 Dodge Avenger. Those are rumors about this mid-size sedan. Company used this nameplate for the first time in 1995. Original model feature a coupe body style. Second generation came in 2007, but this time as sedan. So, we are pretty sure that possible next-generation model will continue in the similar shape. Some sources suggest that new model could come already next year, as 2018 Avenger. We still didn’t get any official information, but many believe that new model once again will come based on its relative Chrysler. This time it will be a 200 model, since Sebring name isn’t in use anymore.

So far we didn’t get any official information about potential comeback. If this happen, many believe that 2018 Dodge Avenger will once again come in relation with some model from Chrysler. As you know, previous model were very close to Sebring model. Since this nameplate isn’t in use anymore, new model will probably come based on Chrysler 200. These two model will share the platform. We expect that these two models will be very close in mechanical aspect. On the other side, 2018 Dodge Avenger should come with its own visual appearance. It should feature brand’s new design language, but we are not sure how that will like. Inside, these two models should be similar, both in terms of design and equipment.

When it comes to powertrain, we don’t expect surprises. The 2018 Dodge Avenger will feature familiar engines from Chrysler. Most likely, base engine will be a familiar 2.4 liter four-cylinder unit, which will have max output of 184 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Optional engine should be another well-known unit from Chrysler. It is a 3.6 liter V6 Pentastar, which came recently with some revisions and now is good for about 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Transmission should be 9-speed automatic.

2018 Dodge Avenger release date

According to some sources, 2018 Dodge Avenger could come somewhere next year. However, arrival of this new model is still uncertain, so you should take this with reserve.
