There were many expectations from 2018 Dodge Charger, but latest reports indicate that this model won’t  feature so exciting changes. Few years ago, company announced that completely redesigned Charger will come as 2018 year model. However, company recently bring some different news. According to them, redesign of this legendary nameplate is delayed for a year or two. Some insiders claim that we will have to wait even more to see next generation. According to them, company delayed redesigns of several models, and new Charger surely won’t come before 2020. So, what to expect from 2018 Charger? Company did a facelift some time ago, and we surely won’t see some more significant visual changes. On the other side, we should see some other kinds of updates.

The 2018 Dodge Charger will continue in the same manner, and feature pretty much same styling, which came with some improvements two years ago. We saw new front  end, including redesigned grille, new more rounded headlights etc. Company reworked on most of the panels which provided more athletic look. The interior also came with plenty of significant changes. Dodge introduced new steering wheel, new dashboard panels, new instrument cluster with 7-inch display etc. If we consider all this, it is hard to expect some major changes for 2018 Dodge Charger. Most likely, we will see some updates of hi-tech features, updated infotainment system, with some new apps and similar things.

When it is about powertrain, things should also remain pretty much the same. There is a base 3.6 liter Pentastar engine, which is good for about 292 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque. Besides great power, this engine also has great fuel economy, and it is good for about 31 mpg in combined drive, which is one of the best results in class. There is also a 5.7 V8 Hemi engine, which is good for about 370 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, 2018 Dodge Charger will go from 0 to 60 in about five seconds, while top speed is limited at 146 miles per hour. Both engines come in pair with 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2018 Dodge Charger will come somewhere in late 2017. Price should remain pretty much the same, which means around 28.000 dollars for base model.
