2018 Dodge Durango SRT

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT will surely be one of the biggest novelties from this brand. As you probably know, current version is a little bit old, despite recent updates, and company works on next generation, which will come as replacement for the model that came in 2009. However, this complete redesign won’t come so soon. So, company is going to do some modifications on current model, which will keep it fresh and attractive until new model comes. We will see a hi-performance version of this crossover, which will probably come as 2018 Durango SRT. Compared to standard model, it will feature not only much more power, but also several other changes, in terms of visual appearance, interior features etc. We expect its arrival next year.

2018 Dodge Durango SRT front viewAs we already mentioned, this will be a hi-performance version of this not so exciting crossover. We will see numerous modifications that are usual for this performance department. There will be not only changes in powertrain, but also in terms of styling, equipment etc. In visual aspect, we will see a model with SRT’s recognizable details, especially at the front, where we expect to see new front fascia, bumper and new air intakes. We will see plenty of SRT’s bodywork on other areas of the car. So, expect things like new aluminum wheels, more aggressive hood, athletic body panels and some aerodynamic components. When it comes to interior, expect things like sports seats and steering wheel, plenty of SRT badges around the cabin etc.

The 2018 Dodge Durango SRT will be a hi-performance crossover. So, it is easy to conclude that some of Hemi engines will be under the hood. However, we don’t expect to see a 6.2 liter unit with crazy 707-horsepower output. We are pretty sure that this crossover will use the same engine as Grand Cherokee SRT model. It is a 6.4 liter Hemi V8 engine, which is good for about 475 horsepower. This should be enough for a 0-60 sprint in less than five seconds and top speed close to 160 miles per hour.

2018 Dodge Durango SRT release date
